Our Mission

MCYO strives to:

• Give program participants creative and leadership opportunities
• Pilot off as a colorguard & dance team program
• Ultimately develop a Drum & Bugle Corps representing the Greater Birmingham area competing in Drum Corps International
• Outreach to inner-city youth and financially disadvantaged families

After-school Arts Programs also:

• Decreases drop-out rates
• Develop self-esteem & leadership skills
• Teaches children time management skills
• Decreases childhood obesity rates
